I'm a wealth management professional working with high-net worth individuals and families. I manage investment portfolios and design comprehensive financial plans that include tax optimization and estate planning strategies.

I'm bound by fiduciary duty, meaning I must put my clients' interest first. I am committed to the outmost professionalism and service with integrity. I'm not influenced by third-parties. I do not sell specific products, nor collect commissions from anyone. My clients pay me. I adhere to professional and ethical norms that protect the public and advance professionalism through my adherence to the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards’ Practice Standards, Code of Ethics, Professional Responsibility, and Rules of Conduct.

I have over a decade of experience in investment portfolio management. Having been through a couple of recessions, I gained a disciplined perspective into investment portfolio management that maintains a long-term view amid short-term turmoil and the importance of filtering out the noise. As an independent, fee-based financial planner, I'm free to choose the best financial solutions and investment strategies for each client.

HOW IT WORKS

There are different levels of need for each client. My engagement varies accordingly. Three common scenarios are:

  1. Financial Planning
  2. Professional Investment Management
  3. Wealth Planning and Management (incl. on-going Financial Planning and Investment Management)

  1. Contact me to schedule a Financial Planning Session and we'll discuss what this entails.
  2. I will send you a short questionnaire along with an agreement to review, sign and a list of pertinent documents to bring along.
  3. E-mail, fax, or mail the completed questionnaire and signed agreement back to me at least 48 hours prior to the meeting.
  4. Please bring the requested documents along with any others you think we may need to the meeting.
  5. We review your financial position, resources, issues and goals at the meeting and I will provide insight and advice. You take notes on action steps. I provide a written recommendations report after our meeting (the complexity and detail of which depends on the package.)
  6. It is ultimately up to you to execute the recommendations. I am available for up to two weeks after the review for short e-mail clarifications of my recommendations.

Contact me to schedule a free, no obligation meeting (up to 1 hr.) where we can get to know each other. If you like me, the services I provide and the associated fee involved, we generally go through the following steps:

  1. I will send a client profile questionnaire along with an agreement to review, and a list of pertinent documents to bring along to our next meeting.
  2. E-mail, fax, or mail the completed questionnaire back to me at least 48 hours prior to the meeting so I can prepare appropriately.
  3. Bring the requested documents along with any others you think we may need to the meeting and we sign the on-going financial planning agreement.
  4. We review your financial position, resources, current investments, issues and goals at the initial meeting and I will provide some intermediate insight and advice. I provide a written recommendations report after our first meeting to get things started.
  5. We periodically review the plan and its implementation and continuously monitor its progress and effectiveness.
  6. I make myself available on an on-going basis to assist you whenever the need arises.

For on-going Financial Planning we set up an on-going relationship that has a 6 step process:

  1. We Establish and Define the client-planner on-going relationship,
  2. I Gather and Generate your data, such as net-worth statement, income statement, goals,
  3. I Analyze and Evaluate your current financial status,
  4. I Develop and Present Recommendations for a Financial Plan,
  5. We Implement the recommendations and the Financial Plan together,
  6. We Monitor the recommendations and periodically adjust as necessary.

  2. We establish our on-going relationship and sign agreements. We review your current financial position, resources, current investments, issues and goals at the initial meeting and I will provide some intermediate insight and advice. We explore a variety of options and come up with an appropriate investment portfolio. We take into account your personal/family situation, various financial goals, time-horizons, risk-aversion, estate planning and gift giving issues, business issues, wealth transfer needs, charitable giving aspirations, taxes and more. I provide a written recommendations report after our first meeting to get things started and see if you're in agreement.
  3. We construct an investment policy statement. Your investment plan implementation will generally consist of a well-diversified portfolio of market investments (held at a third-party custodian, Fidelity Investments in your name that I manage on a discretionary basis) as well as other alternative investments. [please see investment management for more] [and, please see asset-based fees]

Wealth Management consists of Financial Planning and Investment Management Services combined. Contact me to schedule a free, no obligation meeting where we can get to know each other. If you like me, the services I provide and the associated fees involved, we generally go through the following steps:

  1. First, we need to look at your financial planning needs as a start. I will send a client profile questionnaire along with an agreement to review and a list of pertinent documents to bring along to our next meeting. Please e-mail, fax or mail the completed client profile questionnaire back to me, at least 48 hours prior to the meeting, so I can prepare appropriately.

Another way to look at it in general, we set up an on-going relationship that has a 6 step process:

The Wealth Management Investment Process
  1. We Establish and Define the client-advisor on-going relationship,
  2. I Gather your data, such as net-worth statement, income statement, goals, and more,
  3. I Analyze and Evaluate your current financial status
  4. I Develop and Present Recommendations
  5. We Implement the recommendations,
  6. We Monitor the recommendations and periodically adjust as necessary (we loop back to step No. 2)
